The Tourist Refund Scheme (TRS) enables you to claim a tax refund on goods purchased in Australia.

The refund only applies to goods you take with you as hand luggage when you leave the country.

The refund will be paid on goods costing $300 or more bought from the same store, no earlier than 30 days before you leave. You may buy goods from several stores, provided each store's tax invoice totals at least $300.

When leaving Australia through T1 - International Terminal, you may collect your refund from the TRS booths located on Departures level after customs.
