Jimmy Liu, the General Manager of China Bestours, was born in Southern China and completed his tertiary education at Beijing Second Foreign Language Institute (also known as China Tourism University) majoring in Tourism Management. After four years of study, he was awarded a Bachelor's degree in Economic Management. The skills and practices learnt during his university days, laid the foundation for a most successful career path in travel and tourism.

In 1990, Jimmy joined China Travel Service Head Office Beijing as a local guide in Beijing where he introduced many overseas clients to the scenic and cultural highlights of this bustling city. In a short time, he was promoted to a national guide where he accompanied groups of Western tourists on their travels throughout China. Regular contact with people from across the globe and all walks of life earned Jimmy a reputation as an excellent and informative guide who consistently catered to the travel needs of his clients, relating to them his in-depth knowledge of the geography and culture of China.

In 1994, Jimmy joined the sales marketing team at China Travel Service Head Office in a specialist role of promoting China in conjunction with Australian travel agents. His success in this role prompted a move to Australia in 1998 where he gained diverse experience as a Tour Manager with a prominent travel agency in Sydney.

In 2003, he set up China Bestours and made it one of the leading Asia tour specialists in a short time.
